nnfprofilepicMalia has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nutrition Science from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo, over 500 hours of training as an Advanced Yoga Teacher, and is a certified Ayurveda Wellness Counselor. She has over nine years of experience with life coaching, nutrition counseling, personal training and teaching yoga.

Malia chooses to devote significant energy toward her service to others including: nutrition, fitness, yoga, Ayurveda (TIM) for a holistic, integrative healing approach to help others truly own the quality of life they deserve with health and happiness.

History: I started studying yoga 30 years ago at a gym (full circle). My yoga journey has been a crazy ride. It has tested all of my relationships including my own body and spirit . My yoga evolved  when I experienced a loss that would take me to my knees in grief. In this pain was the discovery of self which allowed me the choice of letting go of a lifetime of labels and beliefs. Yoga was my vehicle that allowed me to move forward.

Certifications:  Yoga RYS 200 hr: 500hr Thai yoga  over 1500 hr. massage therapy, 25 years experience.  500 hr esthetician: 150 hr Bowen therapist:
I also teach Mayan abdominal massage.  Studied Qi gong and Tai Chi with Master Deng Ming Dao.
Looking Forward: But why would you want to attend my class? Yoga is one of my greatest loves and I find joy in sharing my love. Let me help you discover the  magic that is inside.  I come from the perspective  of a bodyworker, recognizing imbalance and working toward harmony.  In my teaching I  bring in all the traditions that I have studied. Thru the asana you have the opportunity to recreate patterns that no longer serve you. As a teacher it is my privilege to help you navigate this part of your journey.
